Season’s Greetings!
Wishing you and your loved ones health, safety, and happiness this holiday season!
Falling snowflakes and chilled temperatures frost our windows and our fingers at our bases in New York City, Central New York, and Vermont. At Geopipe, we want to take this time to reflect on a few of the things that we are thankful for.
We are thankful for the diverse group of collaborative thinkers and problem-solvers that have risen and continue to rise to the particular challenges of this tumultuous year. We have celebrated cross-country moves, new offices, new homes, and new team members. We have moved to successful remote workflows. We’ve doubled our full-time staff this year, and added part-timers, interns, and associates. And as our projects expand in scale and scope, we continue to welcome new team members to join us in our mission of bringing the authoritative version of the real world to virtual space, built by AI. If you're a passionate Deep Learning expert, a pro at hacking big projects with C++, or consider yourself a map geek, let us know!
Throughout 2020, we expanded our capability to generate detailed real-world environments for simulation in the automotive market. This quarter we acquired our largest revenue-generating customer project to date as well as international exposure, and we celebrate this tangible confirmation of product-market fit while looking forward to larger projects with this customer and similar customers in this sphere. Continuing to grow and expand energizes our pursuit of refining and advancing our capabilities further!
This year, we were awarded the $1M grand prize at the GENIUS NY 2020 accelerator competition and recognized by Governor Andrew Cuomo of New York as part of the "next generation of innovative entrepreneurs." We were able to inspire others in our vision to build the perfect, smart digital twins, labeled and rendered by algorithms, and are using the winnings to push us further to accomplish these goals and add new talent to our team. We can’t wait to show you what’s coming next!
As the year draws to a close, we hope you'll get to be at least virtually close to family with Zoom. Now more than ever, we appreciate how technology connects us—and next year or the year after, we look forward to you being able to (virtually) spend holidays with your family powered by the Geopipe World, even when you're far apart.
